Children's K-7th Grade Faith Formation

Schedule

Faith Formation classes begin September 18, 2011.  To faciliate those who move into the area, registrations are open year round.

The Kindergarten class meets on Sundays from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM in the library, which is located in the church hall.

Grades 1 through 6 meet on Tuesdays at Juliet W. Long School and Ledyard Center School from 3 PM to 4:30 PM.  Students are supervised on the playground from 3 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by classroom instruction from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Grade 7 meets on alternating Sundays from 6 PM to 7:30 PM in the church offices and library.  

Please watch the weekly parish bulletins and flyers that are sent home with your children on Tuesdays for information concerning the specifics of program events and/or changes to the posted calendar.

First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are celebrated in Grade 2.  However, first grade Faith Formation Class is a prerequisite to entering second grade Faith Formation Class and sacramental preparation.

Snow/ Closure Policy

If the Ledyard Public Schools are cancelled or have an early dismissal, then Faith Formation classes will automatically be cancelled.  If the public schools do not dismiss early, but after school activities are cancelled, then Faith Formation classes are also cancelled.  Please check WFSB (channel 3 Eyewitness News) on TV, or radio stations WICH, WCTY, WNLC, or WKNL for cancellations. 

Volunteers

Teachers and assistants are needed in all grades!  If you volunteer and serve as a teacher or assistant in our Faith Formation program for the school year, the registration fee will be waived.  We are also looking for volunteers to help in non-teaching roles such as Vacation Bible School, creative help, receptions, and special events.  Please let us know if you are interested in any of these areas.
