Faith Formation Registration 2017-2018

If you have not registered your child for the 2017-2018 Faith Formation program you can download the forms on our website or pick up a registration form located in the vestibule on the kiosk table.  If you have any financial difficulties please contact the office or email a
ffo@ololgf.org.  All children are welcome to join our program.

Choir Rehearsals

Adult Choir - Rehearsals begin on Thursday, September 14 from 7:00-8:30pm. All are welcome from high school age through adult. Choral experience is helpful, but not required.

Children’s Choir - Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 20 from 4:00-4:45pm. Open to children in grades 3-8.

Children’s Bell Choir - Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 20 from 4:45-5:30pm. Open to children in grades 3-8. Membership is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. You must contact our Music Director, Sharon Green, before joining this group.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

"Every act of reverence, every genuflection that you make before the Blessed Sacrament is important because it is an act of faith in Christ, and act of love for Christ. And every sign of the cross and gesture of respect made each time you pass a church is also an act of faith." (St. Pope John Paul II).  Still looking for adorers for the following hours:  Monday at 1PM, Tuesday at 10AM and Thursday at 12PM.  If you can help with any of these hours or any other hour of your choosing, please fill out a sign-up form located on the desk in the Chapel and we will call you.  For more information, please contact Bill & Barbara Soude.  Also mark you calendars, Adoration Pot Luck dinner on Saturday, 10/21, after the 5PM Mass. Look for the sign-up sheets in  the sign-in log to let us know how many in your family will be coming and what you will be bringing. All committed adorers and substitute adorers and their families are cordially invited to this dinner.  Don't forget to sign up in the sign-in log so we know how many to expect.

Prayer Shawl

27th Annual Red Mass

The Most Reverend Michael R. Cote, Bishop of Norwich, will host and celebrate the 27th Annual Red Mass on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Cathedral, 213 Broadway, Norwich, for judges, lawyers, paralegal, law students - all involved in administration of justice: legislators, public officials, civic leaders, and all interested persons are invited. The Most Reverend Mark O'Connell, an Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston, will concelebrate the Red Mass and deliver the homily this year. Bishop Cote will also host the Breakfast Reception at his Residence, 274 Broadway, Norwich. Reservations are required. Please RSVP to Terri at The Chancery - at 860-887-9294.


The Annual Diocesan Mass of Remembrance to honor children who have died from stillbirths, miscarriages or abortions, whether recently or years ago, will take place Tuesday, October 10, at 7 P.M. at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich. Bishop Michael Cote will be the main celebrant. The Mass of Remembrance is an opportunity for family members to memorialize and honor the dignity of the precious lives of pre-born children. CT Catholic Men’s Conference - 2017

Greetings Men of God! It’s that time of year again - time for the 10th Annual Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference. This year the conference will be held on 21 October 2017 at St. Paul Catholic High School, 1001 Stafford Avenue, Bristol, CT from 8:30-5:00pm. Cost is only $45. This is our 10th year and it looks to be better than ever. We’re calling all men of the parish to join us for a day of dynamic speakers, deep spirituality, incredible worship, and great food, fellowship, and fun! It won’t be the same without you! Twenty-Second Annual Mass for Those Dedicated to Education

The Twenty-Second Annual Diocesan Mass for Those Dedicated to Education will be celebrated on Sunday, September 10, 2017, in the Cathedral of St. Patrick, at 8:45 a.m. Bishop Cote will celebrate this Mass for all teachers and support staff, public, parochial, and private, active and retired, of all faiths. Reverend Peter Langevin, Parochial Vicar, Cathedral of Saint Patrick, will be the homilist. All are welcome.

Currently, the Planning Committee for this Mass is seeking additional members to assist in preparing this very meaningful tribute to Educators and to become an active member of the planning committee.

The next meetings of the Mass Committee will be held on September 11, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. in the Bishop Hines Conference Room of the Chancery. Please join us in planning the 23rd Annual Mass for Those Dedicated to Education.
